LEADERSHIP COACH · FRACTIONAL LEADER · SOLVER OF PEOPLE PROBLEMS
Amy S. Thaler
I help leaders resolve friction by understanding how people are wired.
People are at the heart of business results. When decisions stall, accountability gets fuzzy, or capable people keep talking past one another, the business feels it.
I work with leaders and leadership teams in midsized organizations—PE-backed, venture-backed, and independently owned—to understand what is getting in the way and turn that insight into practical change.
I’ve sat in the leadership seat.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience, including CEO, COO, and founder roles, I know how people hiccups can get in the way—and how understanding your people can move the business forward. My work has spanned government contractors, startups, international nonprofits, and the 2002 Winter Olympics. I have grown companies from idea to sale and helped turn businesses from red to black.
That experience shapes how I coach, facilitate, and advise: get curious, identify the real issue, and make it easier for people to do good work.
Understanding people. Moving the business forward.
I combine leadership coaching, behavioral assessments, team diagnostics, and hands-on strategic advice. Depending on what you need, our work may focus on leadership alignment, clearer decisions, healthier conflict, people and culture strategy, or fractional leadership support.
Understanding how your people are wired isn’t just a people strategy; it’s a business strategy.
I hold an MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and a certificate in coaching from the College of Executive Coaching. I am a certified MPO analyst and trainer and EQ-i certified. I also bring real-life experience, a healthy sense of humor, and usually a guide dog in training somewhere nearby.
To be clear is to be kind. Expect thoughtful questions, honest conversations, and practical next steps.
