Welcome to Your Dose of Mana — a quick, weekly note with:
1 real story
1 leadership insight
1 practical takeaway
1 dose of art

If your biggest business challenges are actually people challenges, you’re in the right place.

I’ve had the titles. That didn’t make me a leader

1 Real Story

I’ve been called a lot of things in my career. I’m not talking about those things and yes, those too. I mean:

CEO.
COO.
EVP.

Now, I correct people when they call me an “executive coach.”

Not because it’s wrong.
But because it’s limiting.

I’m a leadership coach.

Because leadership isn’t reserved for executives.

And neither is the work I do.

Yes, I spend a lot of time with the C-suite.

But I work with people at all levels.

Because leadership shows up everywhere.

I’ve held the titles.

And I’ve worked with people who had none…
who showed more leadership than the ones at the top.

The ones people trusted.
The ones who stepped forward when it mattered.
The ones who knew when to lead… and when to step back.

1 Leadership Insight

Leadership isn’t a role or a title.

It’s how you show up when no one’s assigning you authority.

➡️ A mindset
➡️ A set of behaviors
➡️ A set of values

It’s how you make decisions.
How you respond under pressure.
How you influence the people around you.

It shows up in boardrooms.

And it shows up in classrooms.
In communities.
In everyday moments where no one is keeping score.

Leadership is mana.

It’s your presence.
Your influence.
Your inner power.

And it’s available to anyone willing to use it.

1 Practical Takeaway

Stop waiting for permission to lead.

Because leadership isn’t about having authority.

It’s about taking responsibility in the moments that matter.

1️⃣ Step forward when something needs to be said or done
2️⃣ Step back when someone else should have the space
3️⃣ Pay attention to how your behavior impacts others

Some people are still waiting for the title.

Others are already doing the work.

The difference isn’t opportunity.

It’s a choice.
