Hi Reader,

Welcome to Your Dose of Mana — a quick, weekly note with:
1 real story
1 leadership insight
1 practical takeaway

A Double Dose of Mana

1 Real Story
Last week, you likely noticed you got a double Dose of Mana.

You weren’t imagining things — you did. Ugh.

The first one was intentional.
The second — a very personal update — was designed to go out two weeks later.

But… technology is great, until it’s not (another Amyism)

The reason why is not important.

The kicker (or for me, the killer): there was nothing I could do. I couldn’t pull it back. Couldn’t unsend it. Couldn’t control the narrative.
I had to take a deep breath, let go of control, and just live with it.

And in typical Amy fashion, find the silver lining it. Ah, I’ll use it as a “growth opportunity” and write a post about it

1 Leadership Insight
It made me remember: leadership’s not about getting everything right.

It’s about what you do when you don’t.

When things go sideways — whether it’s a rogue email, a missed deadline, or a team mistake — your response is what’s important.

Do you panic? Deflect? Or do you own it, stay human, and keep going?

The best leaders I know don’t just manage chaos — they model clarity and humility.

1 Practical Takeaway

Next time something slips through your fingers (and it will), try this:

  • Pause before reacting.
  • Own what happened.
  • Focus on what’s next.

Control is comforting. But growth — and leadership — live in the letting go.

Even though this is a “mass email” I mean it when I say—let me know what you are up to. Reply, book a Zoom, pick up the phone. I’d love to catch up.

If leadership, culture, or people challenges are taking up too much brain space lately or if your organization needs help—

Thanks for letting me show up in your inbox.
See you next week with another Dose.

More joy. Less friction. Always.
